AMA >> DEN >> LAX >> TAI >> DPS

Yes, it was quite the travel course but definitely worth it! Josh & I recently returned from our honeymoon in Bali. Everything was absolutely beautiful! We weren't the biggest fans of our first hotel in Seminyak due to the fact that it's basically Australia's Cancun (really touristy, crowded, & the ocean areas were geared towards surfing for the most part). The next morning, we caught a ride to the opposite side of the island which was comprised of tiny fishing villages; therefore, it was a whole different experience. The days we spent there were incredible. We stayed in a little bungalow just outside of Amed (pictured in one of the photos below). What's better- we were a mere 50 yards from the sandy, black volcanic beach & were able to simply wade out, throw on our snorkel gear, & swim around the fascinating coral reef. A few days later we traveled inland to Ubud. Almost everyone I know that has been to Bali enjoyed their time in this unique city, and we were no different. The beauty I found in the rice fields and temples there were overwhelming. All in all, it was an amazing trip...We'd do it again in a heartbeat!

I loved watching the women prepare their blessings every day...everything was so intricate.

Look at that driftwood! Oh, and that's our bungalow in the background.

Celebratory decor used for weddings, new baby arrivals, etc.

When the tide went out, I went to beach combing.

One of the most flavorful meals we had- so good! Naughty Nuri's Warung.

We went sailing (by accident) & got an awesome view of the island.

Such a neat farming process to witness first hand.

These water temples are tucked away everywhere behind large carved doors off the busy streets of Ubud.

A traditional Balinese wedding we stumbled on- I can still hear the music.
